Mohanlal Vishwanathan Nair (born 21 May 1960), known mononymously asMohanlal, is an Indian actor and producer, who is well known for his versatile and natural acting in Indian cinema. Mohanlal made his acting debut in the unreleased movie Thiranottam (1978).
Mohanlal was born in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, to a Hindu Nair family on 21 May 1960. His mother is Shanthakumari and father is Vishwanathan Nair.Mohanlalhad an elder brother, Pyarelal while his father was a legal secretary in the Kerala government.
